Therefore, it draws a lot of current from the generator or shore power supply (16 A per 5 kVA Quattro at 230 VAC). A current limit can be set at each of the AC inputs. The Quattro then takes into account other connected AC loads and only uses the remaining \"leftover\" current for charging. This prevents overloading of the generator or grid connection.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cb\u003ePowerAssist – Boosting Shore Connection or Generator Power\u003c\/b\u003e \u003cp\u003eWith this function, the PowerControl principle takes on a new dimension, as the Quattro supports any undersized alternative source. Peak loads often occur only for a limited period. In such a case, the Quattro ensures that an undersized grid or generator power is immediately compensated by energy from the battery.
