Why the DRAWER LOCKS lock system from DECKED?
A weather-resistant drawer system is, of course, also suitable for use on pickups without a hardtop or tonneau cover.
However, not all vehicles have lockable tailgates! And even if they do lock, you don't necessarily want the drawers to become accessible when operating the central locking system...
For example, hunters would appreciate two separately lockable drawers! But the locks also make sense on construction sites, in parking lots, and at campsites.
