The Flat Splicer is the world's first foldable shackle-mount winch rope splicer. The Flat Splicer features a durable hard anodized Mil-Spec finish and can be folded flat against the fairlead to minimize frontal vehicle protrusion. At just 1.75 inches thick, with integrated EPDM rubber bumpers, the Flat Splicer can accept both the pin and bow sections of common ¾-inch shackles as well as the pin ends of larger 7/8-inch shackles. Notice how the spliced rope exits the center of the part and can be routed 90 degrees along the inner radius and back to the winch. This innovative design allows the Flat Splicer to be stowed with the groove side facing the winch, protecting the winch rope from harmful UV light and impacts/abrasion. For all off-road drivers looking for a thimble that fully protects the end of the winch rope without affecting the vehicle's approach angle, the Flat Splicer is the right product.

NOTE: Unlike the Factor 55 ProLink and Flatlink shackle mounting products, the splicer requires knowledge of synthetic rope splicing. We recommend either the locking Brummel splice or the Long Bury splice. There are many video tutorials on rope splicing available online.

WLL: Due to the splice design, the Working Load Limit (WLL) is based on the rope diameter used. Each Splice-On Shackle Mount exceeds the minimum bending radius requirements to ensure the full breaking strength of the synthetic winch ropes used.
