FlatLink MultiMount was developed for difficult recovery scenarios with vehicles on an incline, which often require two different winch pull directions. The two additional shackle pin mounting holes provide secure shackle attachment points for multiple winch pull directions, while the center hole provides a secure conventional attachment point for the center pull shackle. This arrangement eliminates all lateral loading forces of the shackles at the Multimount interface (the shackles can rotate freely and align with the direction of the load).

By using the two outer shackle pin mounting holes in combination with the recovery gear, it is also possible to work with different anchor points. Similar to the rest of the FlatLink product line, the MultiMount can be folded flat against the fairlead surfaces when stowed, resulting in minimal impact on the vehicle's approach angle.
