Furthermore, two empty battery compartments are included to operate the radio with alkaline batteries. These can also be exchanged for the 12V cigarette lighter power adapter to operate the device portably in a car. External CB antennas with PL plugs are connected via the additional antenna connection of the power adapter. The digital squelch makes the operation of the Alan 42 DS particularly comfortable and guarantees optimal receiver sensitivity at all times.
