The REDARC Smart Start SBI24D is a relay used to isolate the start and auxiliary batteries in a dual battery system. It is a microprocessor-controlled battery isolator that protects the primary battery from being discharged by the secondary battery, preventing it from draining the primary battery.

It features sophisticated fault detection and an LED operating indicator that warns the user of faults such as overvoltage, voltage drop, and excessive current draw. The Smart Start SBI24 battery isolator is a safe way to operate a dual battery system and should often be installed with a fuse kit.

Dual Sensing
The dual-sensing model allows for charging in both directions, meaning the auxiliary battery can also be charged by an external source such as solar panels or an external battery charger.
