Victron Argodiode 100-3AC 3 batteries 100A

Battery isolators allow several batteries to be charged simultaneously from one power source without the individual batteries being connected to each other. For example, the onboard battery can be loaded without the starter battery also being discharged at the same time. By using modern Schottky diodes, the voltage drop is also kept small. It is approx. 0.3 V at low currents and approx. 0.45 V at nominal current.

All models in this series are equipped with a compensation diode, which slightly increases the output voltage of the alternator to compensate for the voltage drop caused by the Schottky diodes.

Alternator start-up excitation Some alternator types require a DC voltage at the B+ terminal for start-up excitation. On the one hand, there is a direct cable connection between the battery and the alternator. On the other hand, however, the isolation diode prevents current feedback, so that the alternator does not start. The new 802AC battery isolation diode has a special current-limited connection for start-up excitation when the alternator is started.
