Victron 12.8V Lithium SuperPack Batteries 200 Ah

SuperPack batteries are extremely easy to install and no additional components are required. The internal switch disconnects the batteries in case of deep discharge, overcharge, or excessive temperature. The batteries can be connected in parallel. Series connection is not permitted.

Integrated BMS and safety switch

SuperPack batteries are extremely easy to install and no additional components are required. The internal switch disconnects the batteries in case of deep discharge, overcharge, or excessive temperature.

Protected from improper use

A lead-acid battery will fail prematurely due to sulfation in the following cases:
• If it operates for a long time in an insufficiently charged state (e.g., the battery is rarely or never fully charged).
• If it is left in a partially discharged or, even worse, completely discharged state.

A lithium-ion battery does not have to be fully charged. The operating life even increases slightly if the battery is only partially charged instead of fully charged. This is a significant advantage of lithium-ion batteries compared to lead-acid batteries. SuperPack batteries interrupt the charge or discharge current if the maximum rated values are exceeded.

Efficient

In many applications (especially off-grid solar systems), energy efficiency can be crucial. The energy efficiency of a charging cycle (discharging from 100% to 0% and recharging to 100%) of an average lead-acid battery is approximately 80%. The energy efficiency of a charging cycle of a lithium-ion battery, on the other hand, is 92%. The charging process of a lead-acid battery becomes particularly inefficient when the 80% mark of the state of charge is reached. This leads to energy efficiencies of only 50%. In solar systems, this value is even lower, as energy reserves for several days are required there (the battery operates in a state of charge between 70% and 100%). A lithium-ion battery, on the other hand, still achieves an energy efficiency of 90%, even if it is in a shallow discharge state.
