Innovative Combination Device from Victron: Sine Wave Inverter and 12 V Battery Charger in One!

The Multiplus 12/2000/80 from Victron is a device combination of a 1600 W sine wave inverter and battery charger. The smartly integrated battery charger provides an impressive 80 A, allowing batteries to be charged extremely quickly when shore/grid power is available. The sine wave inverter integrated into the Multiplus transforms 12 V DC from the battery into 230 V AC. Thanks to the true sine wave, the voltage quality is perfectly suited even for sensitive electronic devices.

Versatile Use

The MultiPlus is a powerful pure sine wave inverter, an advanced battery charger using adaptive charge technology, and a high-speed AC transfer switch, all in a single compact enclosure. Models are available from 800 VA to 5000 VA per module.

Unique PowerAssist Feature

Peak loads often occur only for a limited period. In such a case, the MultiPlus ensures that insufficient shore or generator power is immediately compensated for by energy from the battery. If the load is reduced, i.e., consumers are switched off, the then sufficiently available energy can be used to charge the batteries.

Uninterruptible AC Power (UPS Function)

In the event of a grid failure or an interruption of shore power or the onboard generator, the Multi's inverter is automatically activated and takes over the supply of connected consumers. The switchover happens so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that an uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed.

Practically Unlimited Power through Parallel Connection

Up to six Multis can be connected in parallel for high power demands. Three-phase or split-phase operation is also possible. Please refer to our data sheets to see which models are suitable for parallel operation, three-phase, and split-phase operation.

PowerControl – Working with Limited Generator Power, Limited Shore or Grid Power (1600VA).

With the Multi Control remote panel, the maximum current drawn from the grid or generator can be set. The MultiPlus then considers other connected AC consumers and uses only the "remaining" current for charging. This prevents the generator or shore power connection from being overloaded.

Local Monitoring and Control

Several options are available: Battery monitor, Multi Control panel, Ve.Net Blue Power panel, Color Control panel, smartphone or tablet (Bluetooth Smart), laptop or computer (USB or RS232).

Remote Monitoring and Control

If systems with a Color Control panel are connected to Ethernet, they can be accessed and settings can be changed remotely.

Remote Configuration:

Victron Ethernet Remote, Venus GX, and the Color Control panel. Data can be stored and viewed free of charge on the VRM (Victron Remote Management) website.
