The Multiplus Compact 24/1600/40 from Victron is a device combination of a 1300W sine wave inverter and battery charger. The smartly integrated battery charger delivers an impressive 40A, allowing batteries to be charged extremely quickly when shore/mains power is available. The sine wave inverter integrated into the Multiplus transforms the 24V DC from the battery into 230V AC. Thanks to the true sine wave, the voltage quality is perfectly suited even for sensitive electronic devices.Versatile Use
The MultiPlus is a powerful true sine wave inverter, an advanced battery charger that uses adaptive charging technology, and a high-speed AC transfer switch in a single compact enclosure. Models are available for the range of 800 VA to 5000 VA per module.
The MultiPlus prevents overloading of a limited AC source. First, the battery charging process is automatically reduced to prevent overload. Next, the power of a generator or shore power supply is boosted with energy from the battery.
Uninterruptible AC (UPS function)
In the event of a grid failure or an interruption of shore power or the onboard generator, the Multi's inverter automatically switches on and takes over the supply of the connected consumers. The transfer happens so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is ensured.
Virtually Unlimited Power Through Parallel Connection
Up to six Multis can be connected in parallel for high power demands. Three-phase or split-phase operation is also possible. Please refer to our datasheets to see which models are suitable for parallel, three-phase, and split-phase operation.
Local Monitoring and Control
Several options are available: battery monitor, Multi Control Panel, Ve.Net Blue Power Panel, Color Control Panel, smartphone or tablet (Bluetooth Smart), laptop or computer (USB or RS232).
Remote Monitoring and Control
If systems with a Color Control Panel are connected to Ethernet, they can be accessed and settings can be changed remotely.
Remote Configuration:
Victron Ethernet Remote, Venus GX, and the Color Control Panel. Data can be stored and viewed free of charge on the VRM (Victron Remote Management) website.
