PowerControl and PowerAssist – Boosting grid or generator power
A maximum grid or generator current can be set. The MultiPlus-II then takes into account other connected AC loads and only uses the remaining "available" current to charge the battery. This prevents the generator or grid connection from being overloaded (PowerControl function). With the PowerAssist function, the PowerControl principle gains a new dimension. Load peaks often occur only for a limited period. In such a case, the MultiPlus-II immediately compensates for insufficient generator, shore, or grid power with energy from the battery. If the load is reduced, i.e., consumers are switched off, the then sufficiently available energy can be used to charge the batteries.

Solar power: AC even in case of grid failure
The MultiPlus-II can be used in both off-grid and grid-tied PV systems, as well as in other alternative energy systems. It can be used with both solar charge controllers and grid-tied inverters.

Two AC outputs
The main output ensures uninterrupted operation. In the event of a power failure or an interruption of shore/generator power, the MultiPlus-II takes over the supply of the connected loads. The transfer happens so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed. The second output only supplies power when AC power is available at the MultiPlus-II input. Loads that must not discharge the battery, such as a water heater, can be connected to this output.

System configuration, monitoring, and control on-site
Settings can be changed within minutes using the VEConfigure software (a computer or laptop and an MK3-USB interface are required). Several monitoring and control options are available: Color Control GX, Venus GX, Octo GX, CANvu GX, Laptop, Computer, Bluetooth (with the optional VE.Bus Smart Dongle), Battery Monitor, Digital Multi Control Panel.
