The Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC charger is a professional, DC to DC adaptive 3-stage charger with integrated Bluetooth.

For use in dual battery systems in vehicles or on boats, where the (smart) alternator and the starter battery are used to charge the service battery. The device can be monitored and programmed via Bluetooth and can be remotely controlled via a remote on/off switch. It features an engine running detection mechanism.

The Orion Tr-Smart charger can be used in 12V or 24V systems and is suitable for both lead-acid and lithium batteries. Models up to 400 W are available and an unlimited number of devices can be connected in parallel to increase the output power.

Suitable for Bluetooth Smart
Monitoring, changing settings and updating the charger with newly available software functions can be done with any Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, tablet or other
device.

Fully programmable
- Battery charging algorithm (configurable) or fixed output.
- Smart alternator compatibility: engine running detection.

Adaptive 3-stage charging algorithm: Bulk – Absorption – Float
For lead-acid batteries, it is important that with shallow discharges, the absorption time is kept short to avoid overcharging the battery. After a deep discharge, the absorption period is automatically extended to ensure that the battery fully charges.
For lithium batteries, the absorption time is fixed, by default 2 hours. Alternatively, a fixed output voltage can be selected.

Remote on/off
A remote on/off switch or a relay contact can be connected to the two-pole connector.
Alternatively, terminal H (right) of the two-pole connector can be connected to a battery positive terminal or terminal L (left) of the two-pole connector can be connected to the battery negative terminal (or, for example, to the chassis
of a vehicle).

All models are short-circuit proof and can be connected in parallel to increase the output current.
An unlimited number of devices can be connected in parallel.

Over temperature protection
The output current is reduced at high ambient temperatures.

Protection class IP43
When the screw terminals on the device are installed facing downwards.
