Victron Orion-Tr Smart 24/24 27 A DC-DC Charger non-isolated

The Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC charger is a professional, adaptive 3-stage DC to DC charger with integrated Bluetooth, known in the market as a charge booster and/or battery-to-battery (B2B) charger.

For use in dual battery systems in vehicles or on boats, where the alternator and the starter battery are used to charge the service battery. The unit can be monitored and programmed via Bluetooth and can be remotely controlled via a remote on/off switch.

The Orion-Tr Smart charger can be used in 12 V or 24 V systems and is suitable for both lead-acid and lithium batteries. Models up to 400 W are available, and an unlimited number of devices can be connected in parallel to increase output power.

Suitable for Bluetooth Smart
Monitoring, changing settings, and updating the charger with newly available software features can be done with any Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, tablet, or other device.

Adaptive 3-stage charging algorithm: Bulk – Absorption – Float

For lead-acid batteries, it is important to keep the absorption time short during shallow discharges to avoid overcharging the battery. After a deep discharge, the
absorption period is automatically extended to ensure the battery fully charges.
For lithium batteries, the absorption time is fixed, preset to 2 hours.
Alternatively, a fixed output voltage can be selected.

Remote On/Off

A remote on/off switch or a relay contact can be connected to the two-pin connector.
Alternatively, the H (right) connection of the two-pin connector can be switched to a battery positive terminal, or the L (left) connection of the two-pin connector to the battery negative terminal (or for example, to the chassis of a vehicle).

All models are short-circuit proof and can be connected in parallel to increase the output current.

An unlimited number of devices can be connected in parallel.

Over-temperature protection

At high ambient temperatures, the output current is reduced. Suitable for high temperatures up to 55 °C with full rated power up to 40 °C.

When the screw terminals on the device are installed facing downwards.
