The Victron Orion-Tr Smart 24/48-8.5A is a powerful, galvanically isolated DC-DC converter that provides a stable, adjustable output voltage for sensitive DC loads. It reliably converts a 24V input voltage (20–35V DC) into a controllable 48V output voltage (40–60V) – ideal for professional applications in vehicles, industrial facilities, or off-grid systems.

High Performance with Maximum Control

With a continuous current of 8.5A, the converter achieves a maximum output power of 400W with a high efficiency of 87%. Thanks to galvanic isolation (200V DC between input and output as well as housing), maximum operational safety is ensured – even with sensitive electronics. Precise voltage regulation compensates for line losses and thus protects your loads.

Remote Control and System Integration Made Easy

The integrated remote-controlled on/off switch allows for convenient integration of the device into existing systems – for example, via a power-saving switch or the engine's run/stop switch (see manual for details). An additional high-current switch in the input wiring is no longer necessary. Ideal for space-saving and safe installations.

Expandable Power through Parallel Connection

For increased performance, the Orion-Tr Smart 24/48-8.5A can be connected in parallel with other identical devices – ideal for applications with higher power requirements.

Important note:

The Orion-Tr Smart 24/48-8.5A is not suitable for charging batteries. For charging applications, Victron recommends using an Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC charger, which is specifically designed for this purpose.
