Especially with cloudy skies, when light intensity changes constantly, the ultra-fast MPPT algorithm improves energy harvest by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and by up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers.

Advanced Maximum Power Point Detection in case of partial shading.
In the event of partial shading, two or more maximum power points (MPP) may be present on the current-voltage curve. Conventional MPPTs tend to lock to a local MPP. However, this may not be the optimal MPP. The innovative algorithm of the SmartSolar device will always maximize the energy yield by locking to the optimal MPP.

A Bluetooth-enabled smartphone can display a variety of data live. The wireless solution for setting up, monitoring, and updating the controller using Apple and Android smartphones, tablets, or other devices.
Unlike the BlueSolar controllers, the Bluetooth interface is already built-in here, so no additional accessories need to be purchased.

Smart Battery Management with the BatteryLife Algorithm
The BatteryLife algorithm monitors the battery's state of charge and slightly increases the load disconnect threshold daily until the bulk voltage is reached. From this point, the load disconnect threshold is modulated so that the bulk voltage is reached approximately once a week.
The BatteryLife algorithm will extend the operational life of the battery compared to conventional battery algorithms that always switch between "partially charged" and "fully charged" (due to low self-discharge).

Simply remove the rubber seal protecting the connector at the front of the controller and plug in the display.

Internal temperature sensor and optional external battery voltage, temperature, and current measurement via Bluetooth
With a Smart Battery Sense, a BMV-712 Smart battery monitor, or a SmartShunt, battery voltage and temperature (and current, in the case of a BMV 712 or a SmartShunt) can be transmitted to one or more SmartSolar charge controllers.

Recovery function for fully discharged batteries
Will initiate charging even if the battery has been discharged to 0 volts. Reconnects to a fully discharged lithium-ion battery with internal disconnect function.

Synchronized parallel charging with VE.Can or Bluetooth
Up to 25 devices can be synchronized with VE.Can, and up to 10 devices with Bluetooth.

VE.Can: the solution for multiple controllers
Up to 25 controllers can be synchronized with VE.Can.
