Votronic 50A-12V Battery Charger PB1250 SMT2B for Charging Lead-Acid and Lithium Batteries

All charging programs are applied by the charger for gentle full charging and then for trickle charging of the battery, with temperature compensation adapted to the battery type when a temperature sensor is used. The supply of connected consumers is also taken over during charging, dimensioned so that no more than 50% flows into the consumers during the I-phase (initial charging).

With full batteries, almost the entire possible device charging current is then available for the consumers, without the batteries being discharged.

"LiFePO4": Charging program specifically for lithium batteries

Charging program tailored for Lithium-LiFePo4 batteries with their own BMS and prescribed or built-in protective circuitry. A special quiescent maintenance automatically keeps the LiFePO4 battery in a state of charge beneficial for its lifespan (50-80%) when the vehicle is parked (seasonal operation), while also buffering 12 V consumers and the vehicle's starter battery. In addition, a regular Auto Wake Up function activates battery cell balancing.

1. "Gel": Charging program for gel batteries, characteristic IU1oU2oU3

Designed for sealed, gas-tight gel/dryfit batteries with fixed electrolyte, which generally require a higher charging voltage level and longer U1 hold times to achieve short charging times with particularly high capacity storage and to avoid long-term battery "starvation". Perfectly suited for our WATTSTUNDE gel batteries, among others.

2. "AGM": Charging program for AGM / fleece batteries, characteristic IU1oU2oU3

Intended for charging sealed, gas-tight AGM (Absorbent-Glass-Mat) batteries and those in lead-fleece technology, which require a particularly high U1 level with coordinated hold times for full charging and then a moderate U2 level for trickle charging (round cell and plate technology).

4. "UNIVERSAL": Charging program for lead-acid / wet batteries, characteristic IU1oU2oU3

Universal program for charging and trickle charging acid batteries in vehicles (mixed mobile/stationary). Offers short charging times with a medium U1 level, good charging factor, and good acid mixing in open and closed, low-maintenance, maintenance-free standard, traction, lighting, solar, and heavy-duty batteries, as well as AGM batteries with normal U1 level.
