The VOTRONIC Battery Protector 40 and Battery Protector 100 devices are connected between the supply battery and the consumers and are suitable for all lead battery types (acid, gel, AGM) and brands. They protect the battery from dangerous deep discharge, as well as the consumers and equipment from under- and overvoltage, and can also serve as remotely controlled battery main switches, controlled by an external switch.

Further special features at a glance:

• High switching current 100 A, short-term overloadable up to 180 A; switchable to 12V / 24V on-board power supply
• Intelligent switching threshold automatic calculates the correct "empty" cutoff point for reliable battery protection with optimal capacity utilization based on stored battery characteristic curves, both for high consumers (low switching threshold with shorter response time) up to very small loads (e.g. "hidden" power consumers with response times of days/months with high response threshold)
• Optionally operable with 3 fixed cutoff thresholds (manual) adjustable
• The higher setting values maintain the starting capability of emergency vehicles with only one battery circuit (according to DIN EN 1789)
• Pre-alarm with visual (LED) and acoustic (beeper, deactivatable) display, as well as a separate warning switching output (PNP, plus output 0.2 A) allows timely countermeasures by the user (e.g. switching off unnecessary consumers)
• Solid battery screw terminals for M6 cable lugs, protective caps included
