The ON/OFF control unit can be used to automatically switch the MobilPOWER Inverter SMI Sinus series on and off via the alternator's D+ terminal. The inverter can also be switched on and off by applying 12V or 24V battery voltage via a main switch, timer switch, simple on/off switch, etc. to the On/Off terminal. The control panel on the inverter can be omitted, as the device is now switched on and off via the ON/OFF control unit. If the control panel is still to be used as a display panel, it can be placed remotely from the device as a remote control.
