The VOTRONIC charge boosters ensure optimal and fast charging of the leisure battery from the alternator while driving. In contrast to a simple isolating relay, the charging voltage is increased to the value necessary for a full charge for the respective battery type and required by battery manufacturers. This allows the full charging current to flow and significant amounts of power to be charged into the battery in a short time. Long charging cables and losses, as well as voltage fluctuations at the alternator, are precisely regulated.

The charge converters thus provide the familiar high-quality battery charging of VOTRONIC chargers even while driving. The intelligent microprocessor charging control with "IU1oU2" charging characteristics and dynamic charging time calculation automatically ensures fast and gentle full charging as well as subsequent charge maintenance of the connected batteries from any state of charge, and always allows simultaneous supply of consumers parallel to the leisure battery.
