The VOTRONIC charging boosters ensure optimal and fast charging of the supply battery from the alternator while driving. In contrast to a simple isolating relay, the charging voltage is increased to the value required for the respective battery type for a full charge and demanded by battery manufacturers. This allows the full charging current to flow, and significant amounts of power can be charged into the battery in a short time. Long charging lines and losses, as well as voltage fluctuations at the alternator, are cleanly regulated.

The charging converters thus provide the familiar high-quality battery charging of VOTRONIC chargers even while driving. The intelligent microprocessor charging control with "IU1oU2" charging characteristics and dynamic charging time calculation automatically ensures fast and gentle full charging as well as subsequent charge maintenance of the connected batteries from any state of charge, and always allows for simultaneous supply to consumers in parallel with the supply battery.
