Reliable Votronic Solar Charge Controller
Effective battery charging for motorhomes, caravans, boats and independent solar systems! VOTRONIC solar controllers are the link between the solar module and the battery, operate fully automatically and ensure optimal charging of the battery without overcharging.
Features at a glance:
- Main charging output I: Automatic charging of the leisure battery
- Secondary charging output II: Recharging and trickle charging of the starter battery
- Overcharge protection
- Gassing control
- Reverse current blocking
- On-board power supply filter
- Integrated temperature compensation
- For 12V applications
- Reverse polarity protection
- Suitable for all battery types
A solar system, correctly dimensioned, makes a motorhome, caravan or boat self-sufficient and consists of three components: solar module, solar charge controller and battery.
During the day, power consumption is immediately recharged, and at night, reverse discharge of the battery is prevented. The devices are characterized by high operational reliability. High-quality charging technology in conjunction with intelligent microprocessor control ensures the exact adherence to charging voltages, currents, and times. The main charging output with IU1oU2 charging characteristic can be optimally set for acid/wet batteries, gel or AGM/fleece batteries.
Of course, the controllers are state-of-the-art, so a special charging curve for lithium batteries is available. Note: To charge LiFePO4 batteries, a temperature sensor must be connected!
With the temperature sensor (recommended accessory) for battery temperature compensation, the charging voltage is automatically increased at low temperatures (winter operation), and the weakened battery is charged better and faster. At summer temperatures, the charging voltage is reduced, thereby reducing the stress (gassing) on the battery and increasing the lifespan of sealed (e.g. gel) batteries. The second charging output is voltage and current reduced and serves to support charge and trickle charge the vehicle's starter battery during long periods of inactivity.
