There are numerous types of connectors, be it the familiar luster terminal, junction box terminal, or terminal block. With the WAGO connector, unlike all other terminals, you can connect any type of conductor completely without tools.

Lever-operated push-in connectors like the WAGO connector are suitable for both stranded and solid electrical conductor types. Our range of WAGO connectors includes 2, 3, and 5 conductor terminals in 4 and 6 mm² variants. This variation offers diverse application possibilities, especially where different conductor types and cross-sections meet. Connecting conductors with these terminals is easier than with any other, and wiring is time-saving and reliable. When using luster terminals with stranded conductors, ferrule terminals usually need to be attached. This step is eliminated with WAGO connectors, as there is no risk of wires protruding or being damaged by screws. Another major advantage is that conductors with different cross-sections can be secured in the connector. And all of this without additional tools.

How does wiring with WAGO connectors work?

WAGO connectors are very small and compact. Due to their extremely small dimensions, they are ideal for tight spaces. This makes the terminals very convenient to install and also creates free space for any expansions. Operation is intuitive, and connecting conductors is quick and easy. The levers can be opened and closed with little effort. Thanks to side grip recesses, the WAGO connectors are held firmly in any situation. The procedure for connecting conductors is as follows:

1. Strip the desired conductors
2. Open the WAGO connector with the lever
3. Insert the conductors
4. Close the lever

The transparent housing allows you to continuously check the conductor position. The contact point is gas-tight, which ensures a permanently secure contact of the conductor with the busbar. Two easily accessible test openings (one is in the direction of the conductor connection and the other on the opposite side) make testing conditions very comfortable even when installed. The application is suitable for ambient temperatures of up to 85 °C, and the maximum terminal temperature according to UL standard is 105 °C. WAGO connectors have globally recognized approvals. If you want to disconnect conductors from each other again, this is also easily possible. As when inserting, the lever is opened and the cable is removed.

Connecting cables is one of the most common tasks when connecting electronic devices in the household, converting a camper, or installing solar modules. Since WAGO connectors can connect both stranded and solid conductors, the application possibilities are versatile. In addition, the terminals can be used with any cable cross-section, which makes them so flexible and compatible for every application. Two examples of applications are, for instance, connecting solar modules to charge controllers or connecting consumers to a battery.
