Reliable and efficient solar charge controller for small 12 V systems of the 2nd generation
The WATTSTUNDE® PEKO10 charge controller automatically detects the system voltage and charges your battery according to its voltage and type, at all times with an optimal charging curve. In addition, the integrated USB port provides a direct charging function, allowing you to charge your devices such as mobile phones or tablets directly from the charge controller.
Product features:
- PWM control
- USB direct charge function
- Night light function (D2D)
- Multi-stage charging technology
- Deep discharge protection (LVD)
- Overcharge protection
- Load output 10A
- 12 V systems
- Self-test function
- Temperature compensation
- LED - status display
- Protection against overtemperature or overload
- Automatic shutdown in case of battery overvoltage
- Reverse current protection at night
- Short circuit protection
- Lead-acid or GEL/AGM battery selectable
- Warranty period: 2 years
In contrast to simple shunt charge controllers, which only perform a full charge, the PEKO charge controller uses PWM technology to charge your battery gently by continuously adjusting the current battery voltage using pulse width modulation (PWM).
Optimal protection against overcharging and deep discharge - solar module power up to 170Wp (12V) connectable!
With the PEKO charge controller, you can expect high reliability, state-of-the-art technology, and ease of assembly at an optimal price-performance ratio.
An optionally usable load output can be used for connecting 12V consumers. In addition, your battery is automatically protected from deep discharge by the consumers with the integrated deep discharge protection (LVD) of the charge controller.
Only when the voltage reaches a certain value again will the consumers be automatically reconnected (LVR). This way you can always be sure that your battery will not be deeply discharged.
If the night light function is set, consumers are only switched on automatically from dusk until sunrise. During the day, the loads/consumers remain off. The charge controller measures the incoming module voltage and thus detects the day state. If the module voltage drops (5-10V), the charge controller detects dusk and switches to the night light function, the loads/consumers are switched on.
If the solar module open-circuit voltage reaches a value >15V, the charge controller detects daylight and switches off the loads/consumers.
For example, a night light could be operated with it; the lamp turns on at dusk and turns off at dawn.
