The new voltage converter from the TwinPeak series is a compact combination device that combines a variety of functions in one device:
 

  1. Inverter with pure sine wave for off-grid solar systems
  2. Battery charger
  3. Solar charge controller (MPPT)
  4. Shore power connection


The TwinPeak is the ideal solution for realizing a fully functional off-grid solar system: by connecting PV modules (maximum 500 Wp), the connected battery can be charged anytime and anywhere.
In addition to the reliable operation of 12 V DC consumers, the powerful combination device also allows 230 V AC consumers to be connected. A pure sine wave voltage is generated to power your devices from home.
The device is rounded off by the shore power connection: Energy can be fed into your autonomous system from an external source such as a grid connection. The TwinPeak is particularly suitable for small off-grid solar systems in remote cabins or small garden sheds that are to be operated independently of the grid.

Important!: It is not suitable for campers or boats. It must not be installed in vehicles!

The TwinPeak device is characterized by the following:

  • Powerful off-grid inverter: sine wave inverter, solar charge controller, battery charger in one
  • True sine wave voltage for 230 V consumers (max. 1000 W continuous power)
  • Powerful 50 A solar charge controller integrated: Connect solar cells with up to 500 Wp power
  • Integrated 20 A 12 V battery charger for automatic battery charging
  • Shore power connection: if required, power can be fed from a grid (transfer switch with 10 ms switching time integrated)  
  • Variety of setting options: priorities, battery type, etc. almost all parameters can be freely set. Further information can be found in the manual
  • LCD display: system information can be read quickly and easily (battery and PV as well as consumers)
  • Suitable for AGM/Gel batteries (lead-acid batteries), LiFePO4 possible with BMS

MPPT charge controller: maximum power yield guaranteed
With the help of Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology, you can charge your battery even faster and make the best possible use of your solar system. Several times per second, the intelligent controller algorithm determines the point of maximum power yield, which constantly fluctuates due to external conditions such as temperature and solar radiation. Compared to simpler series controllers, a 10%-30% higher charging current can be generated. The integrated charging characteristic curve ensures with the help of a four-stage IUoUo charging characteristic that the batteries are charged at all times with an optimal voltage and a suitable current. The parameters of the charging characteristic curve can be flexibly adjusted, so that it is possible to charge not only lead-acid batteries but also lithium-ion batteries.

Reliable battery charger
Charge your battery gently and reliably with the help of the integrated battery charger. An external 230 V AC grid can be used as an energy source. The integrated automatic charging system always charges with optimal current and voltage values depending on the state of charge of the batteries, ensured by a reliable charging characteristic curve. The charging current of 20 A ensures that the batteries are fully charged again quickly. Particularly noteworthy is the possibility of charging not only lead-acid accumulators but also the new lithium-ion batteries. With the TwinPeak, you are therefore well equipped for the future.

Pure sine wave voltage for high demands
The TwinPeak converts the 12 V DC voltage of the battery into a clean, quartz-accurate sine wave voltage of 230 V and 50 Hz. This allows consumers from home to be operated even when on the go. With an output power of 1000 W, many smaller consumers such as coffee machines, chargers, small household appliances or computers can be comfortably operated. Inductive loads such as stereo systems or televisions can also be used reliably.
A peak current twice as high as the nominal current can be drawn for a short period (5s). This means that starting some powerful devices is not a problem. The integrated deep discharge protection monitors the battery's state of charge and automatically switches off consumers when the battery capacity is running low and further energy consumption would damage the battery.

External 230 V connection
If the energy from the solar system is not sufficient, the batteries can also be charged via the external connection. Simply feed shore power into your battery. Intelligent microprocessor electronics ensure that the batteries are always operated optimally. Overcharging is prevented, and the batteries are constantly monitored.
With the integrated transfer switch (switching time 10 ms), an uninterrupted operation of the consumers is possible without problems. Input voltage and frequency range can be flexibly selected, so that worldwide operation is possible.

Variety of setting options
The combination device has a backlit LCD display. Here, status information of the solar off-grid system such as the current battery voltage, the connected load, PV current and voltage, and much more, can be displayed at any time. Of course, it is also possible to read the battery charge level or to receive a precise error message in the (unlikely) event of a fault. The almost unlimited setting options are also practical:
Almost all electrical parameters can be freely set: a charging current limit or the voltages in the various charging phases can be set if required.

Comfortable All-rounder
The device has a temperature and load-controlled ventilation system, so that the device causes little noise.
Due to overtemperature and overload as well as short-circuit protection, the device can be safely operated even in the event of malfunctions.
The combination of many functions in one device eliminates annoying cable clutter and minimizes installation effort.
The low standby losses can be further minimized if the energy-saving mode is switched on. UPS operation for uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is also possible.

Software

The enclosed CD-ROM contains software that enables reading the TwinPeak data. Please note: We cannot guarantee the compatibility of the software.

Important note on the TwinPeak's shutdown threshold voltage

After commissioning your Twinpeak inverter, it is absolutely essential to correctly set the shutdown threshold voltage (also called "low DC cut off voltage") in the menu to the battery type used. Only in this way can reliable and safe operation be guaranteed.

How to find the correct value:

Please refer to the enclosed data sheet for the appropriate shutdown voltage. The recommended limit value is specified there, which should be strictly adhered to. The correct setting is crucial for efficient and long-lasting use of your system.
