Especially in rescue and emergency vehicles, the reliability of the installed batteries is crucial for the vehicle's operational readiness. This is particularly true when many continuous consumers heavily strain the batteries, frequent deployments leave no time for recharging, or the charger is insufficiently matched to the batteries. To meet the special requirements of emergency vehicles, the VAC series was created in cooperation with vehicle and leading battery manufacturers.

The device electronics are protected against moisture and ensure reliable operation during strong temperature fluctuations. Continuous consumers connected to the vehicle's electrical system (radios, charging cradles, etc.) are supplied without affecting the charging process. The built-in charging current distributor automatically supplies the starter battery with full charging current when needed. A reporting output can activate the engine start interlock when the vehicle is connected to the mains.
The devices are supplied with a temperature sensor 825 to ensure optimal battery charging. The installation position is variable, thanks to a second device label included in the scope of delivery. Instead of a remote control, a waterproof LED display (see accessories) can be connected to the Remote Control connection socket, indicating the device's operational readiness on the outside of the vehicle.
